its that time of year again

i love love love this time of year. feel like starting my decorations but need one round of spring cleaning first. the husband is like "but we're not gonna be around for christmas".
but still.
it's etha*ns first christmas. & it's not like the decorations will be up only for christmas day right. it'll be there for a while. so i'll probably start soon. i have to finish up my christmas shopping & wrapping. & i have no idea what to get for etha*n as a first christmas gift. hmm... my christmas carols should be playing when we get home so that he can join along with his chortles.
the poor boy. i used to sing him to sleep but not anymore. last night, i put on one of those music channels while rocking him to sleep & he began humming along like he used to when i sang to him.
i wish i could get new curtains but i guess i'll save it for next year since we're not entertaining this year.
oh well.

why i love americans

i dont really.

my general opinion of the general american is that they have a false conception of their own greatness. check out the movies. its always the american who is the hero when the aliens come a-visiting. or when someone needs saving in some far-flung country. & its always the american who gets caught by mother nature's wrath & fury AND overcome it all... yeah, much like, you know it... a HERO.

anyhoo, what i DO like about the americans is their freedom of speech & expression. sukati lah how different individuals sing the national anthem. it doesnt get debated by their politicians (unlike here when a particular artiste sang our national anthem "wrongly"). i also like that when they say "opposition" it really does mean that. here, the opposition is a joke. i mean not that they are the joke but the concept of having an opposition is a joke. do the opposition have access to the media to the same extent as the incumbents? dont think so.

ok lah... lets not get too political.

what i really wanted to talk about is this :-)

if someone ever, ever were to do this to any of our premiers, die man die. mesti kena thrown into lock-up for treason.

muahahaha...

but this was funny.

you go obi wan keobama.

may the force be with you!

i have a bone to pick with you

  1. If you’re not ready to get off your butt to do something different to what you’ve been doing all this time, don’t complain about your lot in life.
  2. When you feel like whining, think about what you do have and start counting your blessings.
  3. When you open your mouth to bitch about others, think about what you are.
  4. Before you call someone a hypocrite, ask yourself if you’re a saint.
  5. If you feel that life or God is being unfair to you, why blame others or rain on their parade? Go take it up to the heavens. AND please, let other people rejoice without feeling guilty about you.
  6. When you want something, ask yourself, am I doing what’s right to get there?
  7. If you don’t want to help yourself, don’t expect others to do it for you.
  8. Get your priorities straight.
  9. Walk the talk.
  10. When you think you have a right, others have the same right too.
  11. Stay away from people who don’t bring value to your life.
  12. Don't be a parasite and get rid of yours.
  13. Just because someone treats you badly, doesn’t mean that you have to stoop to the same level.
  14. KARMA. Call someone a dog and risk turning into one in the next life. So watch it.
  15. Blame is always two-ways. Own up to your contribution to the problem.
  16. Don’t sweat the small stuff.
  17. Smile people smile!!
  18. GROW UP!
  19. Think of someone other than yourself for a change.
  20. When you must get your way all the time, don't think it's being assertive. Some might call it being a spoilt brat.
